Overview

A session with the Performance and Outcomes division at the Scottish Government, responsible for the coordination of the Programme for Government.

Description

The Programme for Government (PfG) is published every year in September, setting out the Scottish Government’s strategic priorities and legislative programme for the next 12 months. Engaging with this process is a way for voluntary sector organisations to influence the government.

Last year, a change in leadership saw the PfG process change too, culminating in a more streamlined Programme for Government, which built upon the policy prospectus set out by the new First Minister in April 2023.

In this session, we will be joined by colleagues from the Performance and Outcomes division at the Scottish Government, to explore how the PfG process has changed under new leadership and potential themes and priorities for the Programme for Government 2024-2025. They will also provide an overview of the timeline for the upcoming PfG, and top tips on how the sector can best engage with the process, followed by a Q&A.

Colleagues from the Policy Network will also have an opportunity to share their experiences of the PfG process and ask questions.

Who was the event aimed at?

This session is open to members of SCVO’s Policy Network and Intermediaries Network. Places are limited and registration is essential. The event will be recorded for Policy Network members who are unable to attend the session.
